Karmella Salazar, Asthetician
Karmella Salazar is a native Santa Fean. She has a daughter in college and a young son that keeps her busy when she’s not at work. To stay energized, Karmella practices clean eating and cooking, exercising and believes that healthy habits are reflected in your skin.
Karmella received her Aesthetics License at Vogue College of Cosmetology in 2004. During her time at Vogue she studied with another Santa Fe Lash & Beauty Bar aesthetician, Tara Trujillo. She says, “I can’t believe it’s been that long since Tara and I studied together. So much has happened since graduation and it’s great to be working with a good friend again.”
These past years, Karmella has achieved extensive experience in medical aesthetics and lasers and has worked with prominent medical professionals in Santa Fe. Her certifications include: Dermaplaning, Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels, Microneedling as well as an in-depth knowledge of multiple skincare lines, including Rhonda Allison. RA is renown for its natural ingredients and whose motto is – skincare with acid peeling is not just a science, it’s an art. Learning any art form is a process that develops over time and Karmella has invested more than a decade in perfecting her art.
Karmella is proud of her venture into private practice at Santa Fe Lash & Beauty Bar, particularly with a young son in tow. She maintains her aspiration to become a nurse, specializing in skincare. Before that next milestone, she is happy to be building relationships with her clientele at SFL&BB, continuing to educate herself and them, overcoming their skincare obstacles and challenges and, most importantly, making them feel “beautiful in their skin.”
